A few days ago, Dongfeng Citroen officially announced that the new Versailles C5 X will be officially launched on March 23. As an annual facelift model, the new car has made targeted adjustments in exterior details and comfort configurations, and the overall product strength has been improved.

According to information released by the officials, the new Versailles C5 X comes standard across the range with illuminated hollow silk-screen printing on the rear quarter windows. Apart from that, the new car still adopts Citroen's family-style front fascia. In terms of body dimensions, the new car measures 4805 mm in length, 1865 mm in width and 1505 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2785 mm, consistent with the current model.

In terms of the powertrain, the new model continues to be equipped with a 1.6T turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with a maximum power of 129 kW and a peak torque of 250 N·m, matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

In terms of the chassis, the Versailles C5 X still comes standard with Citroen's original PHC adaptive hydraulic stabilization technology, combined with MCS master-level chassis tuning. The PHC suspension relies entirely on mechanical structures to achieve automatic adjustment of damping force, without the need for complex electronic control systems, thereby reducing failure rates and maintenance costs.

Since its launch in 2021, the Versailles C5 X has carved out a differentiated path in the segment thanks to its "crossover" positioning. It is neither a traditional sedan nor a standard wagon or SUV, but rather attempts to find an intersection among the three: blending the sporty lines of a coupe, the cargo space of a wagon and the ground clearance of an SUV. This "one car, three uses" approach has indeed attracted a group of consumers pursuing personalization. Although this annual facelift is not a major adjustment, the optimization of details shows the manufacturer's positive response to user feedback.
