On March 24, Deepal announced the official launch of the S09 Rear-Wheel-Drive Ultra Extended-Range version, with an official guide price of 259,900 yuan. The new model removes the lidar, so it no longer supports point-to-point assisted driving on urban roads, but it retains the HUAWEI ADS highway assisted driving function.

In terms of body dimensions, the new model measures 5205mm/1996mm/1800mm in length/width/height respectively, with a wheelbase of 3105mm, positioning it as a large SUV. The interior adopts a 6-seat layout, with a 21.4-inch LCD entertainment screen in the second row and dual 15.6-inch 2.5K connected screens in the front row, paired with a 43-inch AR-HUD head-up display.

In terms of seat configuration, the front row supports 8-point massage, ventilation, and heating, while the second row also features heating, ventilation, massage, and memory functions. The second-row seats support horizontal sliding adjustment and, combined with the integrated movable center console and heating/cooling refrigerator, offer high flexibility in family travel scenarios. The third-row seat cushion height is 360mm, and the aisle width between the second and third rows is 200mm, making it convenient for elderly people and children to get in and out.

In terms of power, the vehicle is equipped with a 1.5T range extender, with a combined power of 231kW and combined torque of 375N·m.

Xiao Tang's view: The new car is equipped with CATL's JInzhongzhao lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a pure electric range of 310km and a combined range of 1210km, and supports 5C fast charging. In terms of safety, it is equipped with Huawei's omnidirectional anti-collision system CAS 4.0, with a side curtain airbag length of 2700mm covering three rows of seats, and features active collision separation technology. The cabin adopts the HarmonySpace 5 HarmonyOS cockpit, and six-zone voice recognition can satisfy independent voice operations for the driver, front passenger, and second- and third-row passengers. The six-axis motion sickness prevention technology optimizes the ride discomfort commonly associated with range-extended electric vehicles, and the addition of 5G communication technology further improves the smoothness of infotainment response and ecosystem integration.
