On July 24, the fifth-generation GAC GS4 was officially launched, with three models offered: Standard, Pro, and Max. This generation change mainly adjusted aspects such as exterior design, body dimensions, and intelligent features.

The new car's front face adopts a new narrow and elongated front grille, while the headlights on both sides basically continue the classic style of the previous generation. The window frames have been blacked out, adopting a hidden D-pillar design and semi-hidden door handles. It features a new full-width taillight design that supports an illuminated logo. The vehicle's length, width, and height are 4680mm, 1860mm, and 1660mm respectively (1675mm for the Max version), with a wheelbase of 2770mm, positioning it as a compact SUV.

The new car is equipped with an 8.88-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch high-definition central control screen, featuring the ADiGO 6.0 infotainment system, supporting Amap online navigation, full-scenario voice control, online audio and video entertainment, whole-vehicle OTA upgrades, in-car WiFi, and Bluetooth functions. The Max version also comes with a panoramic sunroof, electric sunshade, 50W wireless charging, and front seat heating and ventilation functions.

The Standard version is equipped with a basic reversing camera, while the Pro and Max versions are upgraded to a 360° panoramic camera and transparent chassis; the Max version has a built-in dashcam and is equipped with an L2-level driver assistance system, supporting full-speed adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist functions.

The new car is powered by a 1.5T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 130kW and a maximum torque of 270N·m, matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, a top speed of 185km/h, and a WLTC combined fuel consumption of 6.98L/100km. The vehicle adopts a front-engine front-wheel-drive layout, with a chassis combining MacPherson independent suspension at the front and a five-link independent suspension at the rear.

Xiao Tang's view: The fifth-generation GAC GS4 has a completely renewed design for the front face, taillights, and other areas, moving toward a cleaner and more youthful style. The interior also adopts a large screen and a minimalist layout, aligning with the style of new energy vehicles. The wheelbase has been extended by 20mm, improving longitudinal passenger space in the cabin and making rear legroom more generous. The rear door opening angle of nearly 90° is also a family-friendly design.
